Hey how's things everyone? Things aren't too bad for me. The past few weeks have been tough. We had another loss to New Mexico. They outplayed us and deserved the win. Good luck and all the best to them in the tourney! We are preparing for UTEP at the moment. They are looking to be a solid team and play very well with each other! I think we need to come to play from the start or we are done. It's been a very busy couple of weeks too, just organizing things with school, keeping in touch with friends and family, having my dad over here, and preparing for the NCAA tourney. Pretty stressful! Not much else is new, it's been basketball, basketball, basketball, and haven't had time to do much else. Hopefully this won't be the last week though for that! Hopefully the fans get out in force to Tucson, as it would really help us out!! Arizona isn't a bad place. Nice warm weather. Can't complain. That's all for now, even though this is a pretty lame blog. But seriously there is nothing new going on besides the tourney, which I'm hoping you all know about! YOU BETTER! After this week look out for another blog about the tourney and so on.
Regards,

Hey what's up everyone?! I haven't written in a little while. Been really busy with a lot of things. First off, we had our 18-game winning streak snapped last week at New Mexico
We beat our rivals BYU on Saturday. It was a close game, but I felt we were in total control the whole second half! Some interesting signs at the game. The crowd was amazing and I wish it could be like that every game! We are getting ready for SDSU and it is easy for us to look past them, but I think it will be a tough game and hard fought! Off the court, nothing really going on. I received a lot of food and magazines and goods from my auntie in Croatia the other day, so I was pretty happy with all that! I am begging all the fans out there to come to the final home game of the season. I hope we can fill it up and I think the people of Utah owe it to Marc Jackson for his great play and positive influence he has had on us this year, leaving the past behind us of course. But I hope all the Ute fans can come along for a great game... That's all for now. I hope to see you all at the game and GO UTES!

Hey, what's up everyone? Haven't had time to actually sit down and write a new personal blog entry for the last two weeks, so here's a long one.
Tough road trip last weekend, and the weekend before against BYU. That's another story! Well, the morning of BYU, I woke up with a massive headache. As I walked to my car, from the Marriott hotel on campus, I had spewed up 4 or 5 times, then I drove to the Huntsman Center to get my medication, spewed on the way to the training room and the way back to my car.
I hope this isn't too much detail... it's the Aussie-Euro way! Then I finally got home and went to sleep. My headache had turned into a migraine at that point and I spewed again numerous times. Each time I would go like 5 or 6 times then stop. Eventually got to the Provo Marriott hotel and went straight to sleep, woke up, went to the game had an IV and played. There is nothing worse then a migraine and no injury I have had is nearly 1/10th of a migraine. People really don't understand the pain if they have never had one, and for the certain people or person out there saying there is no way I could of played after that, and spewing 10 different times was an exaggeration, I will gladly invite them over next time I have one and let them freely observe me in this state. They can slide along a seat right next to my bed and make sure the substance out of my mouth is not fake. Any takers? Well with that cleared that up, oh yeah and we got BYU! I didn't realize they taught soccer to their b-ball players but its all good! Loved the treatment I received from the fans there. It was so much fun! The next week we went off to SDSU and UNLV. Damn, SDSU is a nice place to live. We got two wins and that's all that matters. People say I was shut down, or I played bad or whatnot. Yes, that is the case, but Utah's 20-3 and that's all that matters to me, so thanks for the support! Got back from Vegas Tuesday at 3 am and got to a nice frozen car to clean off for 10 minutes-- very fun! Other than that I've been speaking to my friends and family a lot lately in Australia and Croatia and caught up with a lot of guys from the Olympic team! Media has been crazy lately, but it's part of the life I guess! I am just writing this as this crazy girl is making a fool of herself... again! All the fellas on the team don't care about the rankings, but some people that really should are the FANS. Get to the games this weekend, and support us when times are good! Even you bandwagon fans, we are winning so come along! See you at the GAMES.
Cheers big ears,

The team is still rolling along, getting a couple of big wins at San Diego State and UNLV last weekend. And, we moved up in the polls to No. 15.
I finally found the link to the USA Today story on me that ran this week. I'm also excited about making the Naismith Award top 30 list!

I'm feeling a much better from my migraine today and Coach Giac and I had an interview with USA Today. Keep on the lookout for a full article in this Wednesday or Thursday's USA Today. I also saw a poll on CSTV's Collegesports.com about the best big men in college basketball and it looked like I was in the lead! I really appreciate all the support from everyone, especially the Utah fans and the fans back in Australia! Go vote on CollegeSports.com... (poll is on the bottom-right corner)

It's been a tough week for me personally this week, I have been pretty sick with this damn cold, and I have nearly coughed up my lung numerous times at practice, hopefully getting over it soon, we have really been playing well and I think the whole team is coming together very well and things are really gelling. We are on a 10 game streak and I have read that this has not been done for a while or regularly, but hopefully we can win these two on the weekend as they will be huge to see what sort of team we can further to be. I have been talking to family in Croatia and Australia regularly and they are very supportive of the Utes and really admire the way the people of Salt Lake City are. The coaching staff has also been great to every player, for the first guy down to the 14th and 15th guys, and I think that just shows their character as people, not only coaches. The apartment downtown is going well and my roommate Mr. Drisdom is still a pain in the...! For all the national media, I don't really have a pet crocodile and kangaroo. I mean it was a joke and I didn't really think Australians would be viewed as that stereotypical. So I guess I was wrong. So, sorry ESPN, FSN and KJZZ, I really don t have these pets!!! Finally I would just like to say thank you to all the faithful Utah fans here and all over the states, I appreciate all the letters of support and emails and so on!! Just one thing I ask from the fans. Get your BUTTS to the games!!!!! Bogut |
