Lopus Leads Utes on First Day of Olympic Swimming Trials

OMAHA, Neb. - Incoming Utah swimmers Whitney Lopus and Hannah Caron started the first day of the 2008 Olympic Trials with the 100-meter butterfly preliminaries.

Lopus finished 35th with a time of 1:00.70. Caron came in 61st in 1:01.42.

Lopus and Caron highlight an incoming class that is ranked 13th in the nation by CollegeSwimming.com.
