Kristina Baskett Named An Academic At-Large All-American

SALT LAKE CITY -
University of Utah gymnast Kristina Baskett has been named a second-team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Baskett was selected to the at-large team, which encompasses 15 NCAA sports.

Baskett, a four-time All-American, has an NCAA individual championship on the uneven bars (2006), a silver medal on the vault (2008) and a bronze in the all-around (2008) to her credit.

The junior owns a 3.56 cumulative GPA in mass communication. She becomes the sixth Ute gymnast to win at-large CoSIDA Academic All-America recognition, joining Kristen Kenoyer (1993), Molly Northrop (1998), Shannon Bowles (2002), Theresa Kulikowski (2002, 2003) and Melissa Vituj (2004).

 

 

 
 


Kristina Baskett is the sixth Ute gymnast ever to win CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.
