SALT LAKE CITY - Academic all-conference honors were conferred on 88 University of Utah student-athletes today by the Mountain West Conference office, including five from the women's tennis team. The latest MWC accolades recognize athletes who competed during the spring semester.

Karine Bourdages, Evgenia Kryuchkova, Emily Kwok, Andrea Maughan and Leigh Walsh represented the women's tennis team.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.

Utah saw 10 athletes turn in cumulative grade-point averages over 3.80.
